Minnesota Advancement Program

With the hockey season right around the corner we approach our first registration deadline for The MAP.    We strongly encourage players to register for the 2011 program before the Open Registration deadline of November 1. This will allow us to properly plan for all our members, staff and facilities to make the 2011 MAP the best training and advancement season yet. 

Please understand that our business is based on maintaining an exact number of players in each graduating class, in order to provide the proper attention and services players deserve. We also need to finalize our 2011 ice time, facilities, staff and training schedules. We also would like to stress that early registration will assist in the overall quality of our program and players, which will provide families and players with: 

1.      Competitive Level (Higher Quality/Less Quantity): Everyone wants the most competitive skates and environment. Early registration allows us to recruit the right number of players for each student class.  This will provide our skaters and goalies with the best opportunity to skate against the highest level of competition. It also will lower the number of skaters in each class and ice sessions. This will in turn allow our trainers more chances to teach players in a more personal setting.

2.      More Personal Attention: If a large number of people wait to register, we spend more time on recruiting and the less time on our individual development plans for our 2011 students. If we have a large percentage of players committed we can spend more time preparing their plans and concentrating on scouting, reporting and staying in touch with our students during the hockey season. This will then help us with developing players the day we start training in March. 

3.      Schedule & Planning:  The earlier we have our student body registered, the earlier we can get out the 2011 training schedule. This will allow players and families to MAP out a training schedule. It also allows us to hire the appropriate part time staff and schedule games and special events earlier. 

4.      Player Recognition & Advancement: If players our registered early we can make sure they have their profiles, goals and development plans prepared prior to the training season. This gives the coaches more time to plan, report, recruit and get our 2011 members recognized by the Elite League, Junior, College and Professional Ranks. 

NOTE:  If you are NOT officially registered, we believe you do not want or need our help with Reports, Recognition or Recruitment. Therefore, we will focus our attention on the 2011 Student Members during the High School Season recruiting period for Junior, College and Professional Ranks.   

Players and families who register for The MAP 2011 before the Open Registration Deadline will receive all the Student Membership benefits that include entrance into the MAP Lottery for great prizes, discounts and many other perks and benefits we offer throughout the 2011 season.
